JAYS DAYS II: The Battle at Busch Stadium

Friday, June 24, Opera Bob’s — The Jays Days series continues when the Blue Jays conclude their interleague road trip with a three-gamer against the St. Louis Cardinals.

The hugely successful launch party on June 17 cemented Opera Bob’s as the go-to bar for baseball fans in Toronto as patrons were treated to an authentic ballpark experience in the comfort of a local pub.

The Jerry Howarth Patio will also make its debut at Jays Days II as lovers of the outdoors will now be able to listen to play-by-play on the patio. “There she goes!”

Bob the Vendor will once again be selling whatever he can fit in his cooler.

“You can’t beat this atmosphere,” said Jays fan Brendan Kennedy. “High-fiving after homeruns, big cheers after every strikeout. I mean there was even a guy walking around with a soft cooler selling cold beers, nachos and cracker jacks.

“It was more fun than going to a game at the Rogers Centre, and easier on the pocket.”

Big screen baseball, full audio, $1 hotdogs, peanuts, popcorn, and ice cream bars and a crowd of baseball fans are some of the things you can expect at Jays Days.

“When Adam Lind homered to put the Jays ahead the bar just erupted,” said co-owner Will Kopplin. “I haven’t seen people enjoy themselves like that watching a Jays game at a bar in a very long time.”
